• Gear S3 Successfully Arrives India






















    Samsung has launched the Gear S3 in India for a price of twenty eight thousand five hundred. The S3 comes in two variants, frontier and classic, the specs of both the variants are similar, both the variants are powered by a dual core 1 GHz processor which is paired with 768MB of RAM. Both the variants also come with a always on circular 1.3 inch 360x360 Super AMOLED display, which is protected by corning Gorilla Glass SR+. The watches also run the Tizen wearable platform version 2.3.2 and also come with 4GB of internal memory. Both variants are also rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. The connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi b/g/n, NFC, MST, GPS/Glonass and a connectivity feature that Samsung calls Hyper connectivity, that allows the watch to receive notifications beyond the range of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.



    The difference comes in the form of 3G LTE which is in the frontier variant, whereas the classic doesn’t have 3G support. The frontier also comes with Military grade MIL-STD-810G stainless steel, which is not present on the classic variant. The frontier is also slightly heavier at 62g in comparison to the classics 57g. Samsung also boasts of 3 to 4 days of battery life from the 380mAh ticker on the watches.
    Speaking on the launch Manu Sharma, Vice President, Samsung India said “With the Gear S3, we continue to build on our wearables heritage of offering diverse choices to enhance consumers’ unique lifestyles.”

    Both the Variants go on sale starting 18th January.
