Apple has finally made it official, sending out invites for a Sept. 7 event to debut the latest iPhone.
“See you on the 7th,” Apple said non-descriptively in the invitation for the event, which will be held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.
Apple is widely expected to introduce new versions of its flagship phone as well as possibly updates to the Apple Watch line. Apple usually tries to give the tiniest of hints with its invites and the image Apple chose for the invite suggests that the camera could be a big focus of the event.
At least some models of the new iPhone are expected to have dual lenses on the camera, something which can, among other things, allow for different focusing tricks such as the blurry background Apple has in its invite.
With the design of the phone expected to be similar to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, the big focus is likely to be the camera as well as software changes and other modest tweaks, such as to the processor or memory.
