Crash of the Titans is a platform game , the fourteenth episode of the Crash Bandicoot series , released October 2, 2007 in the United States , 12 in Europe and 25 in Australia .
The title is a pun on the way to say “clash of the titans” (in Italian “Clash of the Titans”) and the name of Crash.
The game sees the evil Dr. Neo Cortex (dubbed in Italian by Forest Mage ) to return, and gather around him his band, the Cortex, consisting of himself, by his niece Nina Cortex, to N.Gin, Tiny Tiger , Dingodile (visible only in the DS and GBA) and Uka Uka. Cortex learn from it how to use the magical aura of the island Wumpa to create the Ray Evolvo, a powerful machine powered by the aura and able to use its power to transform the fauna of the island in an army of giant mutant called Titans, it wishes to build for the exterminator, the largest robot war never existed, which destroy the island Wumpa and conquer the world. Crash must save the day by taking control of the Titans thanks to the technique of crashamento, collecting more aura possible and defeating all Cortex, scattered around the island to get to their head materials and fuel for the exterminator.
At the beginning of the game, Neo Cortex, along with his partner Uka Uka, Crunch hibernate and kidnaps Coco and Aku Aku attracting the attention of Crash, which goes in their research.
